Why I'm Running

As a parent of three kids in this community—two with special needs—this election is deeply personal to me. Our district faces critical decisions ahead: managing facility maintenance through Measure N, navigating housing growth and enrollment, and maintaining fiscal responsibility.

But our most urgent challenge is ensuring every child gets the support they need to reach their potential, regardless of their background. Today, a 40-point achievement gap separates disadvantaged students from their peers in Miller Creek. Targeted, inclusive support can make a transformative difference, and our district shouldn't rest until every student has the resources they need to succeed.

As a software engineer with 25 years of experience, I bring a data-driven approach to solving complex problems: understanding root causes, evaluating systems, and tracking long-term outcomes. Through my board service with the Can Do! foundation, I've worked closely with district finances and community leaders. I will bring that same analytical rigor, transparency, and commitment to collaborative listening as a school board trustee.
