About
About Me
I'm a parent of three kids and member of the Miller Creek school community. My family and I have been living here for seven years. One of the biggest reasons we chose to move into this commnuity was the good things we'd heard about the Miller Creek School District. I am honored to have the chance now to pay that forward, and to help the district continue deserving its reputation for excellence and inclusion.
Community Involvement
- Can Do Board Member: I've been on the board of Can Do! since 2024.
- Special needs community: I've been an active participant in the special needs community in Marin since 2012, particularly with Dedication to Special Education, a community-driven organization that supports special-needs students and classroom teachers with grant funding.
Candidate Statement
I am a parent of three children growing up in the Miller Creek School District. I want every child in our community to learn and grow in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Leadership starts with accountability, and as a board member I will hold our district accountable to the goals it sets for itself. I will also proactively seek feedback from all community members, especially busy families and underrepresented voices who struggle to be heard.
Professionally, I bring 25+ years of experience as a software engineer across finance, manufacturing, education, and tech. I specialize in detail-oriented analysis and creative problem-solving, which I will use to help our district navigate complex challenges and thrive.
As a board member of Can Do!, our district's fundraising foundation, I understand Miller Creek's budget challenges firsthand. As a parent of two children with special needs, I am deeply engaged in the special needs community and understand the unique support required to deliver a high-quality education to all learners.
I am eager to serve the Miller Creek community and provide collaborative guidance and accountability so every child has the opportunity to succeed. I respectfully ask for your vote.
